Glazing Systems Used

Stainless Steel Framing from Switzerland, Insulated Glass Units from Germany

General Glazing Highlights

For this project we installed stainless steel frames from Switzerland. This project presented a challenge because the frames had to be installed within very tight tolerances as all of the ceiling panels and stone were manufactured out of the country and left no room for error. Our framing was only out of level one thirty second of an inch in over ninety two feet. Also notable is the fact that all of the glass had a mere eighth of an inch clearance for installation making accuracy a must. Accuracy was key as almost every piece of the German glass (one and seven eighths inch thick) was five foot wide by thirteen foot tall weighing in at 1,300 pounds each. There were eight pivot doors installed, two pair, a single and a set of three, all five foot by thirteen foot high with one eight foot wide by thirteen foot tall.
