General Glazing Highlights
For this project we used a number of different glazing systems. The custom entry door was glazed with white poycarbonate that is ten foot tall. Adjacent to that is a large window in the art studio that lets in an abundant amount of light through the eight foot by nine foot insulated unit and the clear laminated skylight glass. The rest of the windows and doors in the house are manufactured by Arcadia and include oversized sliding doors throughout the home. These sliding doors are an impressive seven foot by nine foot. All doors, windows and spandrel glass are aligned vertically with the seams of the glass handrails at all three levels. The interior division wall between the stairs and the third floor master bathroom is floor to ceiling sandblasted half inch glass. Also on the third floor is an exterior ten piece glass walkway which is lit from below during the night and adds light to the second floor during the day.
