General Glazing Highlights

This beautiful building is more of an art studio than just a furniture store. Complete with rooftop restaurant this 3-story building is almost 50,000 square feet of fashion meets function. The exterior of the building is made up of a large mix of fixed frames, swing doors and fold and slide doors from Hope’s Steel Windows and Doors. The dual first floor entrances are 10 panel 25-foot-wide fold and slides that can open an elegant breezeway through the center of the Gallery. Both flanking showrooms on either side of the main entrance have four 12-foot-wide fold and slides each. The second floor is mostly fixed frames except to the balconies at the front of the building where two pairs of doors and a fold and slide lead out to the outdoor furniture showcases. Also on the second floor is the design center. Here the space is separated from the rest of the building by an almost 13-foot-tall glass wall made up of 13/16 thick laminated glass. Complete with floating transoms supported by Dorma patch fittings which also act as hinges for the single doors below. The third is absolutely stunning. The restaurant is wrapped by nine fold and slide units including a 12 panel 35 foot entry at the head of the room. Above that main elevation is an expansive glass gable section. The antique mirror at the wine bar here match ceiling mirrors on floors one and two. Each lower floor also has two barrel vault antique mirror sections that are floor to ceiling. The tallest two on the first floor are over 14 feet tall (in 3 pieces). We provided oversize bathroom mirrors on the third floor and smoke baffles on floors one and two as well. This gallery showcases beautiful furnishes but many wonderful glass and glazing products as well.
